______ James E. Lewis, Inc. actually began in 1954 as a feed-bagging business.  It was the brainchild of James Edward Lewis, or Jim, and his wife Betty Jo Lewis.  They had great success in this industry, but as bulk-bins started to pop up around the area, Jim & Betty knew it was time to explore other opportunities.  Jim then partnered with two close friends to begin a new car dealership in the area, but soon became anxious to start a used car business with his wife.  He felt that people would be extremely interested in purchasing a used car that was “like-new”.  Thus in 1958 Jim & Betty decided their small hometown of Willards would be a great place to begin a small used car business selling QUALITY cars.  Gradually their customer base began to grow and Jim & Betty were able to add on to both their office and repair shop to accommodate their ever-growing clientele.  As time passed, Jim & Betty had two kids who have always shown a great interest in their business:  Brenda & James Edward Lewis II, or Eddie.  Eddie went to work with Jim & Betty and soon became a regular fixture at the business along with his wife Sharon. 

______Jim & Betty have both moved on to Heaven, but Eddie, Sharon, and their family have kept going with the car business and haven’t lost a step.  We still have a large selection of QUALITY cars just like always, but as time has passed we have also become the ONLY choice for trucks, vans, and SUV’s.  Much like Jim & Betty, Eddie & Sharon credit their LOYAL customers for allowing the Lewis family to serve them.  Also, Jim, Betty, Eddie, & Sharon have been blessed with long-tenured, hard-working, reliable employees throughout the years.  So come give us a try and help us make 50 more years of history!!!
